How to Connect a Computer via Local Agent?
Copy the command from settings, start the client on the target computer, and verify executable status.
Obtain the Command from the Current Account
Prepare Node.js on the target computer; the current client requires version 18 or higher. Then open the sidebar user menu in Hackcat → Settings → Remote Control, and click "Copy Command"; if there is an existing connection, first click "Connect Another Machine." The copied command includes account connection credentials and the current backend address, so there is no need to manually assemble the command from placeholders shown on the webpage.
Run on the Computer Where the Task Will Actually Execute
Paste the complete copied command into the terminal on the target computer and run it. Wait for authentication and command relay connection to complete; after seeing "Local sandbox is ready!", return to settings to verify the hostname and that "Remote Control is Connected." Switch to Agent and select this computer in the environment selector; opening the webpage on other computers will not automatically change the current browser's machine to the execution environment.
Maintain Connection and Control Permissions
Keep the terminal running the Local Agent available; press Ctrl+C to disconnect when needed. If the program exits or there is no command activity for a long time, you can copy the command again from settings and restart it. The command runs directly on the target host without isolation, using the permissions of the user who started it; only connect to machines you control. Do not disclose the complete connection command in chat groups, public questions, or screenshots, and do not assume administrator privileges by default due to connection errors.
