How to Install the Hackcat Desktop Application?
Select the installation package from the official download page, complete login, and verify the local connection.
Choose Your System from the Official Download Page
Open the official download page and select the installation package according to your operating system and processor architecture. The recommended button on the page is generated based on browser detection; when downloading for another computer, check all desktop download options below. Regular users do not need to prepare Rust, compilers, or application development toolchains when using the installation package, nor do they need to set up a source environment according to development documentation.
Install and Complete Desktop Login
After completing installation following system prompts, launch Hackcat and initiate login from within the application. Your system browser may open an authentication page; after completion, follow prompts to return to the application. If it does not automatically return, click Open Hackcat on the completion page. Do not share the completed login URL with others, and do not repeatedly use previously saved redirect links.
Verify a Small Task First
The logged-in desktop application will attempt to establish a local connection. In Settings → Remote Control, confirm that “Desktop Application Connected” is shown, then switch Agent and verify that the environment selector has selected the corresponding computer. First, request to view the file list of a specified test directory to confirm the result is from the local machine before proceeding. Operations use the current user’s permissions without container isolation; tasks run while keeping the application and network available.
