Why Does the Max Model Require Additional Access Conditions?
Check the available Max access methods for the current account.
First Check the Model Menu Prompt
Max is a model tier, not a separate free quota. The current product determines availability based on the subscription plan and extra usage status, so the same menu may show as selectable, locked, or checking permissions on different accounts.
Follow the actual prompt for this option; do not assume your account is malfunctioning just because another account can select Max.
Verify Applicable Access Paths
Open the Max description in the model menu. If extra usage or subscription upgrade options are provided, carefully review the fees, balance requirements, and current payment availability before deciding.
Before deciding to use it, explain why the current task requires more complex analysis and keep a smaller verification sample. This way, even if additional materials are needed after switching, you can determine whether the issue lies in insufficient information or the model results, avoiding repeated attempts due to unclear goals.
- Wait for the permission check to complete; avoid repeatedly clicking during the check.
- Verify the account’s subscription plan and extra usage status.
- Return to the model menu and check if Max is selectable; if still not selectable, use the existing options first.
Continue Working If Still Unavailable
Insufficient balance, extra usage not enabled, or billing entry temporarily unavailable may all prevent the corresponding access path. At this time, you can use models already available on the account to handle tasks and save parts that require further verification. Enabling extra usage does not mean unlimited use; you still need to check balance and spending limits.
Special note: When Pro or Pro+ users use Max, the corresponding usage is directly counted as extra usage, not after exhausting the included subscription quota. Team users should follow the actual model menu; enabling team extra usage does not guarantee Max is selectable.
