Why Must You Copy the Complete Local Agent Connection Command from Settings?
The command includes both credentials and connection address, preventing the use of placeholders, outdated addresses, or credential leaks.
The Copy Button Completes Necessary Information
In Settings → Remote Control, the displayed command hides the real token; only the “Copy Command” button retrieves the account connection credentials and adds the current service address. Therefore, do not just select the visible placeholder text on the page, nor manually fill parameters based on old screenshots. After copying successfully, you should see a confirmation prompt, then paste the complete command into the terminal of the machine you intend to connect and run it.
The Service Address Is Also Part of the Connection
The current Local Agent does not have a built-in default backend address; commands missing the address will refuse to start. This reduces the chance of accidentally sending credentials to an old service. If previously saved commands no longer work, first return to your current account settings to copy again; do not arbitrarily search for third-party addresses to replace it. Additional installation or startup parameters cannot compensate for invalid tokens, network disconnections, or unreachable target services.
Treat the Complete Command as Sensitive Information
Anyone holding the connection command may obtain these connection credentials, so do not send it to chat groups, public questions, screen recordings, or shared documents. When troubleshooting, only describe the error type and remove credentials and personal information from the command. If you confirm credential leakage, you can reset the token in settings; resetting will disconnect existing connections for that account, and you will need to reconnect each machine with the new command afterward. Do not use this as a routine refresh button.
