Hackcat

Where to Disable Notes if You Don't Want Tasks to Use Them?

Control subsequent saving and usage, distinguished from deleting existing notes.

Control in Personalization Settings

Open the user menu → Settings → Personalization, and find the notes toggle. It controls whether Hackcat saves and uses notes, suitable for situations where you do not want subsequent tasks to continue referencing these personal records.

Disabling the feature and deleting stored records are two different actions; turning off the toggle should not be understood as all notes being completely removed from your account.

Manage Separately When You Want to Clean Records

If only one outdated note is problematic, updating or deleting that specific note is usually more precise than disabling the entire feature. Adjust the toggle only when you need to stop all note usage.

If you are only concerned that an old preference might affect results, you can first explicitly correct it in the current task, then manage the corresponding note. Disabling the entire feature may affect other useful stable information, so choose to modify individual records or disable the toggle based on the actual issue.

  1. Check whether notes are currently enabled.
  2. Disable saving and usage as needed, or open note management.
  3. Confirm the target records and content to keep before deleting.
  4. Clearly state new facts and constraints in subsequent tasks.

What to Do About Information Already Entered in the Conversation

The toggle will not automatically retract content that has already appeared in the chat. If the current task contains old information, directly indicate which parts should be ignored or corrected; if a clean start is needed, you can create a new task and provide only the necessary background. Notes are cross-task auxiliary information and cannot replace your current explanation of key context, authorization scope, and evidence.
