How to Modify a Question That Has Already Been Sent?
Use the available edit entry to correct your question and check the subsequent conversation.
First Decide Whether to Edit or Supplement
If you only missed a condition, it is usually easier to add it within the same task to clearly see the change process. If the original question contains obvious typos or the goal was written incorrectly, check whether the user message provides an edit button. The edit entry depends on the current message and running status; if it is not displayed, do not treat other message operations as editing functions.
Enter Editing from the Original Message
Find the message you sent and select "Edit Message" from the available operations. Before modifying, read the surrounding content to determine which conclusions depend on the old question, then save or send according to the actual prompts in the editing interface. If generation is in progress, wait for this round to finish or use the stop button before proceeding.
- Locate the user message that needs modification.
- Click the available edit button and correct the question.
- After submitting, recheck whether subsequent answers correspond to the new conditions.
Clearly Explain Important Modifications
Editing a question does not mean undoing actions already performed. If the original request involved files or tools, please also check the actual results and clarify in subsequent messages which actions should no longer continue. If you need to keep the original attempt for comparison with the new direction, you can keep the original task and explore the revised idea through a new task or branch. Clearly explaining the changes helps avoid conclusions based on old conditions.
