Hackcat

Where to Start When Using Hackcat for the First Time?

Start with a clear question, complete the input, review the results, and organize follow-up.

Choose a Small Goal First

When using Hackcat for the first time, it is recommended to start with a question that can be clearly explained in one go, such as explaining an error message, checking a function, or organizing existing records. First state the result you want to achieve, then provide the necessary background. This approach is more likely to get a verifiable answer than just sending "Help me analyze." Free accounts can use Ask when available on the page; paid accounts use Agent and can also request explanations only. When actual operations are needed, check the currently available environment.

Complete the First Round of Dialogue

Write your question in the current task input box and confirm the mode and content before sending. When using a desktop keyboard, press Enter to send and Shift+Enter to insert a line break. After the answer appears, first verify whether it understood the goal, then add any missing information.

  1. Clearly state the question, background, and desired output format.
  2. Send the message, read the answer, and review any actual tool results that appear.
  3. Continue asking follow-up questions within the same task until you get a usable conclusion.

Keep Useful Results

If you need to save results, you can use the copy button on the message; when there are many tasks, you can rename or pin tasks in the sidebar. If you want to switch to a completely unrelated question, click "New Task." Text suggestions and actions already performed should be considered separately: only when you see the corresponding tool results or records you provided can you judge whether a step actually happened. After completing the first goal, apply the effective questioning method to the next task.
