How to Revoke a Task's Public Share?

Disable the corresponding public link while retaining your own task.

When to Revoke Sharing

If the link no longer needs to be public, the content contains sensitive information, or you just want to temporarily pause others' access, you can revoke the sharing of that task. Revoking applies to the public link, not deleting the original task, so it is suitable for continuing to keep your work records. Confirm the task name before operating to avoid closing another share that is still in use.

Confirm in the Shared Tasks List

Open Settings → Data Control → Shared Tasks → Manage, then select Revoke Share next to the target task. The dialog will explain that the public link will stop working; after confirmation, wait for the operation to complete. If a failure message appears, recheck the list status instead of assuming revocation succeeded just because the dialog was closed.

  1. Locate the target in the shared tasks list.
  2. Click Revoke Share and read the confirmation instructions.
  3. After confirming, check that the task is no longer in the shared list.

What Revoking Can and Cannot Do

After revocation, the original public access should stop, but it cannot retrieve text, screenshots, or other saved materials that others copied previously. If you need to share again later, you can initiate sharing again and verify the content. Deleting the original task and revoking sharing are still different processes; if you only want to stop public access, you do not need to replace it with deletion. If you just want to check the link status, prioritize using the open entry in the shared list.
