How to Create Your First Project to Organize Tasks?

Start by creating a lightweight project, then categorize tasks by work themes.

Projects Suit a Group of Related Tasks

When a piece of work involves multiple discussions, such as reading materials, code review, and report compilation, you can use a project to keep these tasks together in one place. First, define the project's theme and boundaries to make it easy to determine whether a task belongs to it. A project is a method to organize work and should not be understood as all conversations automatically sharing full content just because they are in the same project.

Create and Name

Use the "New Project" or "Create Project" entry in the interface, fill in the project name, and submit. The name should be concise and clear; the desktop version may additionally show an optional local folder, but ordinary task categorization does not require associating a folder first. After creation, check if the new project appears in the sidebar.

  1. Open the new project entry.
  2. Fill in a recognizable project name.
  3. After successful creation, assign related tasks into it.

Start with Lightweight Organization

For first-time use, you can skip selecting a local folder and just organize a small number of tasks. When you need to actually work in a certain directory, then verify the desktop version's linking capability and connection status. The confirmation message when deleting a project will inform you that tasks are retained and moved back to the task area; deleting a project and deleting tasks within it are different operations, so choose according to the result you want to achieve. Project names can use long-term themes, leaving specific phases to be expressed by task names to avoid frequent restructuring.
