How to Switch Between Local Machine, Another Computer, and Cloud?

Verify task status, file locations, and environment permissions before switching execution location.

First Confirm Whether the Current Task Is Still Running

If the current task is still running, first check its progress, wait for it to finish, or use the stop operation and check the results. Changing the environment selection should not be treated as canceling the old command or moving the running process to another machine. For tasks that are writing files, especially record the completed steps and the actual file status to avoid repeating the same modifications after switching.

Select Target Using Environment Selector

Open the environment selector in the input area, and choose the target computer name or the Cloud option available to your account. Local desktop, other desktops, and remote control connections may appear in different locations; if an option is unavailable, complete the connection process for that entry first. Free accounts using Agent require an available local environment and cannot bypass permissions by manually selecting Cloud. After selection, verify the name again before sending.

Re-verify Dependencies and Working Directory

Different environments have different files, tools, and network access conditions. File paths existing on the original machine will not automatically appear on the target machine after switching; local attachments do not imply cross-machine sharing. Before formal execution, have the Agent confirm directories and necessary tools. If files need to be moved, use a transfer method you have personally verified. When handling old tasks, you can create a new task with a clear scope describing completed and pending parts.
