How Does Auto-Recharge Work and How to Avoid Unintended Renewals?
Understand balance thresholds, top-up targets, monthly limits, and how to disable.
Enabling Means Allowing Automatic Purchases
Auto-reload automatically purchases additional usage according to your set rules when the balance is insufficient. It requires a valid payment method and available billing features. It is a separate setting from plan auto-renewal; disabling one does not automatically disable the other.
Currently, online billing features are not yet available; once enabled, the feature should only be activated with explicit consent and saved settings. If you prefer to confirm payment each time, keep it disabled and use manual purchases.
Threshold and Target Balance Are Not the Same Number
The threshold indicates the balance level that triggers a top-up; “Reload balance to” is the desired target balance after top-up, not the fixed amount purchased each time. The current interface requires the threshold to be at least $5, the target at least $15, and the target to be at least $10 higher than the threshold.
For example, with a threshold of $5 and a target of $15, top-up usually occurs when the balance is insufficient to reach the target. If a request requires more, the actual top-up may consider the amount needed to complete the request; the monthly spending limit still restricts auto-recharge.
How to Check and Disable
- Go to Settings → Extra Usage and open the Auto-reload settings to verify the threshold, target, and monthly limit.
- If you do not want to continue automatic purchases, turn off Auto-reload and confirm the status shows off.
- If payment failure is indicated or auto-recharge is disabled, first check the reason and payment method before deciding whether to re-enable it.
