How to Set a Monthly Spending Limit for Extra Usage?

Control your extra usage budget by distinguishing between balance, amount used, and monthly limit.

What Do the Three Numbers Represent?

Current balance is the existing extra balance; Amount used this month indicates the extra consumption within the current billing cycle; Monthly spending limit is the maximum extra usage amount you allow per month. These three numbers are not interchangeable just because they all involve amounts.

For example, even if there is remaining balance, if you have reached the monthly limit you set, further usage may still be denied. Increasing the limit only relaxes the available quota; it does not mean you have recharged your account or that a new bank transaction has occurred.

Adjusting Budget in Extra Usage

Open the monthly spending limit setting in the Extra Usage section, enter the amount you want to allow, and save. The current interface supports a minimum limit of $1 and also allows choosing no limit. If you want to control spending, you should clearly set an amount suitable for yourself.

Extra usage spending is managed with a separate monthly billing cycle, which may differ from your subscription renewal date. Please refer to the reset notice on the page and do not confuse your annual subscription expiration date with the extra usage reset date.

If You Still Cannot Use After Adjustment

  1. Check whether the saved limit is correct and how much has been used this month.
  2. Confirm that extra usage is enabled and there is sufficient balance.
  3. If auto-recharge is enabled, verify its threshold and target balance; team members also need to meet the team and individual limits set by the administrator.
