How to Stop Current Generation and Redirect?

Use the stop button to interrupt the current reply, then decide whether to continue.

When to Stop

You can stop the current generation when you find the problem is written incorrectly, the goal has changed, or the answer clearly deviates from the direction. Stopping is suitable for interrupting the current output and does not mean deleting the task. If tool operations are involved, do not interpret stopping as having undone previous file modifications or external actions; you should subsequently verify the actual execution records.

Using the Stop Button in the Input Area

When a reply is being generated, the input area will display a stop button. Click it and wait for the status to change, then decide whether to add further explanation or send a new message. Do not click send and stop repeatedly to avoid creating multiple uncertain states; first confirm the interface has returned to a state where you can input or continue.

  1. Locate and click the “Stop Generation” button in the input area.
  2. Review the existing text and tool records to confirm at what stage the generation stopped.
  3. Explain the corrected goal and which results can still be used.

How to Continue After Stopping

You can write “The previous goal was incorrect, please keep the existing analysis and only discuss this one issue.” If part of the work has already been executed, first request to distinguish between completed, incomplete, and content that needs to be cleaned up before making a decision. Task records can still be used for review; if you want to remove records, you need to use the delete option separately, as stopping itself does not delete data. The output already generated should be used as a basis to check completed work.
